The Pediatric Division of the Optimal Living Institute (OLI) is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will provide medical services to patients under the guidance of our Doctorate prepared Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Alicia Spiess.
The ideal person for this type of role is a good listener, outgoing and compassionate, organized and adaptable and an excellent problem solver. This vital role greets our patients, and helps families feel like a part of the OLI family, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide patient-care services– greet patients and families, checking them in and out and preparing them to see the NP.
  • Perform supportive procedures – lab draws vision & hearing screens, NP procedural assistance as required.
  • Communication: – Display professional judgment regarding patient and staff communications. Be able to work with electronic medical records, answering phones, and using our secure messaging system. Assist with patient education regarding standard protocols. 
Requirements: 
  • High school diploma and a graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program (with state accreditation based on certifying exam)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous clinical experience is preferred of 1 - 2 years

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary $20 - $25 an hour dependent on experience
  • 30 – 40 hours a week
  • Regular hours – Monday thru Friday from 9 – 5pm (Weekends off)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued weekly based on hours worked
  • 6 paid holidays plus the Friday after Thanksgiving.
